The fusion of artisanry, music, and cultural history has been a personal motivation from the very beginning. I supplemented craft with academic studies of musicology, theatrology, and philosophy with a doctorate thesis on south german organs of the early 17th century. Since then my work is focussed on researching historical craft techniques by manual execution and their documentation.
